Wood and Hughes "Marguerite" Pattern Antique Sterling Cake Server, NYC, NY, c. 1880

This lovely cake server is designed with a wonderful aesthetic floral display around a shield-shaped cartouche. The shaped blade had a large flute traveling down its center flanked by engraved leaves and pierced stars.

This beautiful server is marked 'W&H/ STERLING.' It measures 11 inches long, weighs 2.90 troy ounces and is in very good antique condition with some scratching to the blade.
