William B. Kerr Antique Sterling Silver Buckle, Newark, NJ, 1900-1910

Kerr made lovely examples of art nouveau silver, and this two-piece buckle is a great example of the types of items they produced. Each section features two different cherub faces above a spreading wing amongst swirling pierced designs.

This buckle is marked with Kerr's trademark along with 'STERLING, 373.' It measures 4.75 inches long by just under 1.5 inches wide, weighs .80 troy ounces, and is in excellent antique condition.
