Whiting 'Lily of the Valley' Pattern Antique Sterling Soup Ladle, NYC, NY, early 20th c.

1 item left

'Lily of the Valley' is a beautiful art nouveau pattern with a single stem of blossoming Lily of the Valley emerging from an opening leaf. The back of the gracefully curved handle  is engraved with script style initials 'AGJ'. A fluted bowl with scalloped rim is decorated with a lovely design, my imagination wants to believe, which represents roots and seeds.

Marked on the back with Whiting's trademark and 'STERLING', this wonderful ladle measure just over 12.75 inches long, weighs a 6.35 troy ounces and is in very good antique condition with even wear in the bowl to the original gilding.
