Unger Bros Antique Sterling Silver Iris Bon Bon Tray, Newark, NJ, c. 1900

Unger Brothers made some stunning art nouveau products, including this uncommon, small bon bon dish. It is an intriguing and unusual pattern featuring an irregular rim, textured leaves background, and flowing iris petals and stamen. A 1904 Unger Brothers catalog identifies it as a 'BON BON TRAY.' (1)

Provenance:
Private Collection.

This wonderful example has an applied disc marked with Unger Brothers Manufacturing trademark along with 'STERLING/ 925 FINE.'  It measures 5.5 inches long by 5.25 inches wide, weighs 2.60 troy ounces, has never been monogrammed, and is in excellent antique condition.
