Towle 'Georgian' Pattern Antique Sterling Silver Beef Fork, Newburyport, MA, c. 1900

Georgian is a wonderful pattern with the handle designed as a tall, decorated Ionic column with a basket of flowers at the top. The bowl is pierced, and the foliage decoration travels down the inner tines.

This uncommon serving fork is marked with Towle's trademark and 'STERLING/ 925-1000/ PAT. 1898.' It measures 6.25 inches long, weighs 1.55 troy ounces, has never been monogrammed and is in excellent antique condition.
