Tiffany & Co Pr. of Antique Sterling Silver Bottle Coasters, New York City, c. 1910

This is a beautiful pair of Tiffany sterling wine coasters. The low-form design is quite uncommon and very attractive. These coasters are large enough to easily accommodate magnum size bottles or decanters.

The undersides have attached rings which act as the bases, raising the bodies slightly off the table. The interiors are flat and plain - engraved with lovely 'BEC' monograms.

The pierced borders are spectacular. The undulating shapes and flowing design create exquisite borders contrasting nicely with their unadorned interiors. The bold depiction of flowers and flowing leaves are enhanced with the lovely pierced designs.

There rare coasters are marked on the reverse 'TIFFANY & Co/ MAKERS/ STERLING SILVER/ 925-1000/ m' along with their pattern and model numbers '15391/ 4669'. They measure 7.75 inches in diameter, weigh a combined 19.95 troy ounces and are in excellent antique condition.
