Tiffany & Co Copper and Silver Aesthetic Vase, NYC, NY, c. 1902-1907

This lovely vase has an applied foot, and the body is shaped like a wide beaker with a shaped top. Silver bands with hanging clusters of grapes hang down from the top and show off nicely against the rich brown original patina. Large, beautiful anthemion are beautifully acid-etched into the body. This may have originally been part of a smoking or desk set, but it certainly would make a marvelous vase for a small arrangement (including desk gadgets).

Provenance: Private Collection.
