Tiffany & Co Copper and Silver Aesthetic Vase, NYC, NY, c. 1880

This cylindrical vase is is a lovely example of Tiffany's creative copper work. The slender body has a lovely brown color and is applied with exotic silver foliage. A butterfly in flight also decorates the piece. Traveling the length of the body is an applied silver rope decoration as if the vase was made of leather. The ring at the top of the rope acts as a hanger giving you the option to hang it on a wall or rest it on a table.

This lovely vase is marked 'TIFFANY & Co/ 4568/ MAKERS/ 8392/ M.' It measures two inches in diameter by 7.5 inches tall and is in very good condition with even surface wear.
