Beautifully engraved japanesque scenes and an engraved name of the first receiver create this wonderful child's cup. 'Lottie' obviously started out her early life accompanied by this fantastic cup. Engraved are scenes of stacked rocks(?), a barefoot man sporting a sword and holding an umbrella, a figure crossing a bridge over rushing water, and three small figures crossing a bridge towards a structure on a cliff. The handle and pierced base are also beautifully designed and accentuated with partial gilding.

Provenance:
Private Collection.

This beautiful cup is marked 'TIFFANY & Co/ 2837/ STERLING/ 1113/ UNION-SQUARE' and with the 'm' in an oval used by John C. and his son Edward C. Moore (in this case, even after Tiffany & Co. subsumed the Moore  Company). It measures 4.25 inches across the body and handle by 4 inches high, weighs 6.25 troy ounces, and is in very good antique condition with nlight surface wear and nicks to the handle.
