Tiffany & Co. Antique Sterling Silver Large Figural Ewer, NYC, NY, c. 1907

This magnificent ewer is stunning. Two variations of reeding ornament, the round base, body, and neck, enhance the visual upward movement and height. Applied bands complement this design, framing the broad band of repoussed and chased dancing maidens in a forest. These seven female figures are connected, holding hands, and are adorned with flowing robes, with those flanking the handle, each holding a staff. The fluted handle is both impressive and graceful, terminating in the middle of the scene with bold leaves and berries. 

This elegant ewer is marked TIFFANY & Co/ AB MAKERS/ STERLING SILVER/ 925-1000/ m/ 8 PINTS/ with pattern and order numbers '17035' and '7230.' It measures just over 19 inches tall to the top of the handle, weighs 75.15 troy ounces, has never been monogrammed, and is in very good condition with light, even wear to the figures and a small bump to the top of the handle (which is visible in the last photo).
