Tiffany & Co Antique Sterling Silver Aesthetic Movement Coffee Pot, New York - c. 1888


Referred to as an after-dinner coffee pot for serving black coffee, this wonderful piece incorporates various designs to create a beautiful example of Tiffany holloware.

Cast, plain elements such as the handle and spout rely on their shapes to add graceful curves to the Turkish-inspired shape of the vessel. A domed, hinged cover is surmounted with a decorative ball finial.

An amazing and intricate design covers the body. It is a display of finely chased flowers and butterflies against a stippled background. Engraved decoration border these scenes.

This exotic sterling pot is hallmarked underneath 'TIFFANY & CO/ 10002 M 2274/ STERLING-SILVER'. It measures 7.75 inches HIGH, weighs 16.30 troy ounces and is in excellent antique condition.
