Tiffany and Co Antique Sterling Silver Vine Pattern Sugar Sifter, NYC, c. 1880s

Grape Vine is one of the more popular designs in this multi-motif line That Tiffany & Company created. It displays a grapevine, complete with leaves and clusters of grapes hanging down the handle against a textured background. This wonderful pattern travels around its edges to also decorate the reverse, which is engraved with a 'MAJ' monogram. The fluted, round bowl is pierced and covered in its original gilding.

This lovely server is marked 'TIFFANY & Co/ STERLING/ M.' It measures 7.25 inches long, weighs 2.45 troy ounces, and is in very good antique condition with some wear to the original gilding.
