This is a fantastic set of early American silver spoons. They are fiddle shaped and single struck with the design appearing only on the front.
A very fine design of a shell decorates the tops. Decorating the sides for a short length are threads accented with leaves and terminating with a central, classical foliate device. It is nice that the monogram, a lovely engraved 'L', is on the back.
These wonderful spoons are marked by the Philadelphia retailer 'Bailey & Kitchen' and with the Taylor and Lawrie pseudo-hallmarks. They measure 5.75 inches long, weigh a total 10.50 troy ounces and are in excellent condition.
