Shiebler 'Flora' Pattern Antique Sterling Silver Master Butter Knife, New York City, c. 1890
Shiebler's Flora pattern incorporated a variety of ornamental flowers on its various flatware pieces.
Of lovely quality and design, this striking master butter knife has a stunning display of flowers in bloom and leaves emanating from a single stem against a textured background. The reverse side is undecorated.
This lovely serving knife is marked on the reverse with Shiebler's winged 'S' trademark along with 'STERLING/ PAT'D. 89'. It measures 7.75 inches long, weighs 2 troy ounces and is in very good/ excellent antique condition with light surface scratches from use to the blade.
