Shiebler "Chrysanthemum" Pattern Antique Sterling Silver Child's Cup, New York City, c. 1880's

This is a wonderful child's cup by the great firm of George Shiebler. An applied c-scroll handle is decorated with a leaf.

The body is adorned with robust chrysanthemum foliage and blossoms. The front is beautifully engraved 'VMC' and the underside has a later inscription 'February 12, 1960'.

This lovely cup is marked with Shiebler's trademark and 'STERLING/ 3644'.

It measures 4 inches across the handle by 3 inches tall, weighs 3.60 troy ounces and is in good condition with light wear to the surface and to the original interior gilding.
