Putting so much work into creating this lovely tea ball is indicative of how expensive tea was and how important the afternoon tea ritual was. A series of pierced circular holes below a beautifully pierced area decorate the main body. A hinged cover is pierced with clover shapes and is engraved 'JRM.'

This lovely tea ball is marked with Shiebler's trademark and 'STERLING/ 3378.' It measures 2.5 inches long, weighs 0.90 troy ounces, and is in very good antique condition.
