These lovely small tongs were made for a tête-à-tête service and could easily be used for serving cubed sugar. The grips are a modern-looking shell design. The elbow, which has never been monogrammed, is smooth, and the handles are hammered.
These tongs are marked with Shiebler's trademark and STERLING/ D.' They measure 3.25 inches long, weigh .40 troy ounces and are in excellent antique condition with light wear to the gilding on the grips.
