R Wallace and Sons Lucerne Antique Sterling Silver Ice Tongs, Wallingford, CT, c 1900

"Lucerne" is an ornate turn of the century pattern with flowing scroll decoration.  These very useful tongs have pierced ends to allow for draining. The elbow of these tongs has been monogrammed "JWK" in a cursive style.

These rare tongs measure 7.25 inches long and are marked "RW&S" and "STERLING." They weigh 2.75 troy ounces and are in very good/ excellent antique condition.
