Philip Rundell English Antique Sterling Silver 'Claret' and 'Burgundy' Decanter Labels by, London, 1820/21

These exuberant Regency decanter labels are very rare items of exceptional quality. The weight is superb and the design with shells and scrolling foliage make them particularly striking examples. The very heavy chains are original to the pieces. They are everything you would expect from Rundell, Bridge and Rundell, the royal goldsmiths to King George IV.

The front bottom edges are fully hallmarked. The labels measures 3 inches wide by 2 inches high, weigh a combined 4 troy ounces and are in excellent condition.
