Peter Krider Coin Silver Pierced Spoon, Philadelphia, c. 1860

This wonderful spoon features a shell-shaped bowl with circular piercing. The handle is beautifully bright cut and engine-turned with work typical of the expert craftsmanship one finds from Krider's shop. The shield at the top is monogrammed 'EGMG'(?).

Marked on the back 'P.L.K', this piece measures just over 7 inches long, weighs .90 troy ounces and is in very good condition with wear to the original gilding in the bowl.
