Peer Smed Antique Sterling Silver Coffee Set, New York City, NY, c. 1930
This is a lovely salad set in the uncommon Lotus pattern by Gorham. The striking pattern has plain handles with three lotus flowers at the top. Simulated rope binds the tops and bases of the handles. The bowls have dramatic lobing emanating from a single Egyptionate lotus bud.
These lovely servers are marked with Gorham's trademark and 'STERLING' along with the retailer 'TIFFANY & CO'. The spoon and fork measure 9.75 and just over 10 inches long respectively. They weigh a combined 5.15 troy ounces, have never been monogrammed and are in excellent condition.
