Japanese Pair of Sterling Silver Taiko Drum Salt and Pepper Shakers, mid 20th century

This small salt & pepper set is in the form of ceremonial drums with swing handles. They have beaded edges around the tops and bottoms and have engraved designs on their bodies.

The tops are designed with Japanese crest symbols. There are 2 different size pierced holes for salt & pepper.

This lovely set is marked underneath 'STERLING. They measure just under 1.5 inches high, weigh a combined 1.40 troy ounces and are in very good antique condition.
