Notify me when similar is available:

This is a beautiful pair of entree servers made by Gorham in the popular 'Chantilly' pattern. The holloware made in this line is uncommon and quite elegant. The bases have undulating edges formed with scrolls and lobed panels that continue onto the oval bodies. Beautiful details of foliage and flowers are hand-chased above the scroll and lobed panel decorations. The cast and applied handles are similarly decorated.

The reserves on each side are engraved with one side being the 'J M McC' monogram and the reverse being '1890/ Sept. 30/ 1915'.

The covers have tall, domed interiors surmounted with scrolling foliate handles. The inverted scroll and lobed decoration are repeated above wonderful foliate and fruit swags. once again, chased decoration of ribbons is used to enhance the design.
