Marshall Field & Co Small Sterling Sauce Ladle, Chicago, IL, c. 1920
This cute little ladle may have been for sauces for desserts or it may have been for cream or milk when serving coffee or tea. It is a lovely ladle with a hammered bowl and an applied handle with engraved decoration.
This lovely ladle is marked with Marshall Field's trademark and 'STERLING' along with the Boston retailer 'A. Stowell & CO.' It measures 4.25 inches long, weighs .55 troy ounces and is in excellent antique condition.
