Knowles 'Coronet' Pattern Antique Sterling Silver Serving Spoon, Providence, RI, c. 1880's

Notify me when similar is available:

JB and SM Knowles produced elegant designs in their flatware line. Coronet is a lovely pattern of swirling classical elements. The blank at the top has never been monogrammed.

The bowl is covered on both sides with wonderful gilt on a matte finish. The ruffled shoulder and engraved foliate design is lovely..

This wonderful server is marked on the back of the bowl with Knowles' trademark. For some reason, the 'STERLING' mark has been removed. This server measures 9 inches long, weighs 2.20 troy ounces and is in excellent antique condition.
