A simple bead and thread decorates the rest of the handle below the reserve, monogrammed 'EGL.'

The shaped blade with raised edges is beautifully engraved with a lovely floral and foliate scene.

This lovely server is marked 'JP. Patent 1855 and by the retailer 'OWEN.' It measures 10.25 inches long, weighs 3.50 troy ounces and is in very good/ excellent antique condition.
