Jacobi & Co Sterling Repousse Entree Serving Dish, Baltimore, MD, c. 1880

Jacobi and Co were from Baltimore and made wonderful repousse silver. The cover is just great with a flowing arrangement of flowers, leaves and branches on a stippled background. The finial is a great cast pineapple resting on a mound of long acanthus leaves.

The base repeats the repousse pattern and is monogrammed on the inside bottom with a script style 'M'. This piece weighs approximately 25oz, measures 9 inches wide by just over 5 inches high and is in very good condition with the exception of a missing leaf on the pineapple crown.
