J.F. Fradley & Co Antique Sterling Silver Claret Spoon, NYC, NY, c. 1890s

Measuring 18 inches long, this impressive claret spoon has a lovely twist handle of thick gauge. The top of the handle is a separate piece that's soldered to the handle. Decorating the top is a robust display of grapes and grape leaves on a vine spreading down the handle covering the seam. The reverse is engraved with a lovely 'LBH' monogram.

This uncommon claret spoon is marked with Fradley's cross trademark and 'STERLING/ 72G/ 925-1000/ FINE.' It weighs 3.40 troy ounces and is in excellent antique condition.
