Gorham Olive Pattern Sterling Silver Serving Fork, Providence, RI, c. 1870

This wonderful antique serving fork is made of heavy gauge silver. One of the earlier patterns by Gorham, Olive features bead and leaf decoration around an oval cartouche on both sides of the handle. The front cartouche is engraved 'JSB.' The dramatic tines and tine area are beautifully hand-engraved.

Marked on the back with Gorham's trademark and 'STERLING, this server measures just over 8.5 inches long, weighs 3 troy ounces and is in very good antique condition.
