Gorham Art Deco Sterling Silver Cocktail Shaker, Providence, RI, 1928

Series of square, raised panels display a sensational design and impressive reflective surface on the zeppelin shaped body. The removable cover compliments the body with its panels and domed center. The body is applied with a bold handle incised with deep lines blending with the design of the body, and the spout is also very impressive the way it is fluidly formed onto the body. It also has a built-in strainer. This large cocktail shaker stamped 3.5 quarts would accommodate a number of guests. 

This rare cocktail shaker is marked with Gorham's trademark and 'GORHAM/ STERLING/ A13825/ 3 1/2 PINT' along with the date symbol. It measures 9.25 inches across the handle and spout by 12.25 inches high, weighs 34.85 troy ounces and is in excellent antique condition.
