Incorporating wonderful japanesque designs, this beautiful creamer and sugar feature wonderful shapes and exotic loop handles. Japanesqe engraving and symbols decorate the bodies along with an 'R' initial. Splayed feet are decorated with simple flowers on a textured background.
Dessert sets were produced and used for serving cream and sugar on fruit and dessert courses. They were also used with tête-à-tête teapots.

This wonderful creamer and sugar are marked underneath with Gorham's trademark and 'STERLING/ 1235' along with the 1873 'F' date code. The sugar measures 5.5 inches across the handles by 3 inches high. They have a combined weight of 11.50 troy ounces and are in excellent antique condition, retaining their original gilt interiors.
