It is an imaginative and whimsical design with great proportions and a beautifully cast figure. The front of the stand is engraved with an 'S' initial. This wonderful, exceptionally rare, and cute stand is for serving sugar and cream for desserts.

This magnificent item is marked with Gorham's trademark and 'STERLING/ 146/ 3x' along with the 'C' date code for 1870. It measures 7.25 inches long by 5 inches high and weighs 13.15 troy ounces. The original wire used to drag the creamer has been replaced. This unusual server is in excellent antique condition.
