This rare mixed metal child's set consists of a bowl and plate.
The bowl, with shaped corners, is adorned with four various Japonesque scenes with brass and copper applique. One scene features a male figure behind a woman crossing a bridge. The other scenes are of a grasshopper, a phoenix soaring above a tree, and a bird above a frog hiding amongst the grass. The finely engraved backgrounds feature hills, trees, birds, and exotic foliage.

An applied female figure is crossing the bridge with another copper female figure behind her. The phoenix soars above a copper exotic tree under which another frog hides.
The plate and bowl are engraved underneath 'W.K. Jr./ April 14th 1882/ from/ L.L'.
