Gorham Antique Sterling and Enamel Ice Cream Slice, Providence, RI, c. 1890s

Enameled flatware is rare, and this is an exquisite example of the art. This large server has a flat handle with varying silver patterns accentuated with an inlay of various colored enamels. The long blade is beautifully engraved and has an upturned-back edge to help serve your ice cream.

This is one of the finest pieces of Gorham's enameled flatware we have had to sell.

Provenance: Private Collection.

This impressive server is marked with Gorham's trademark and 'STERLING/ 365.' It measures 12.50 inches long, weighs 5.30 troy ounces, has never been monogrammed, and is in excellent antique condition.
