This is a rare and lovely serving scoop, likely originally meant for berries. The conical handle is beautifully decorated with an applied, twisting vine with leaves and berries. It has a pointed top and is a most unusual design made from multiple parts. The gilt bowl is decorated at its top with an elaborate classical mask.

This rare server is marked with Gorham's trademark. It measures 10 inches long, weighs 2.95 troy ounces and is in excellent antique condition.
