This stunning and rare set comes in its original fitted box stamped by the retailer "TIFFANY & CO/ 550 & 552 BROADWAY/ NY'. Twelve individual nut picks have gilt ends and four rows of fine beading along the length of the handles. At each end, a wonderfully cast squirrel holding an acorn sits on a platform.

The nut scoop is a spectacular serving piece. The handle and top are a larger representation of the picks with the squirrel having exceptional details. The hooded bowl is beautifully pierced and has a squirrel leaning over to retrieve an acorn. The silver squirrel contrasts nicely against its gilt surroundings.

The box exhibits less than typical wear.

All pieces to this magnificent set is marked 'PATENT' and the scoop is marked with George Sharp's trademark. The scoop and picks measure 10.5 and 5 inches respectively. The set weighs 13.75 troy ounces and is in excellent antique condition.
