Georg Jensen 'Pyramid' Pattern Sterling Silver Salt & Pepper Shakers, 1945-51

'Pyramid', designed by Harald Nielsen for Georg Jensen, Denmark, is one of the great art deco designs. The unique design relies on their simplicity of form with a highly reflective surface to create this bold modern look. The pepper is pierced with a single opening while the salt is pierced with a 6-point floral/ star burst on top.

This stunning set is marked underneath 'HN/ GEORG JENSEN & WENDEL A/S/ 925.S/ STERLING/ DENMARK' and with the model number 632. The Georg Jensen & Wendel mark was used from 1945-51. The 'HN' signifies this set as being designed by Jensen's chief designer, Harald Nielsen who favored form over decoration. The shakers measure 1.75 inches high, weigh a combined 2.90 troy ounces and are in excellent antique condition.
