Georg Jensen 'Number 38' Sterling Silver Pastry Server, Copenhagen, Denmark, 1915-30

A very rare pattern, 'Number 38' features a bold cast blossoming flower at the top of the handle attached with six beaded stem-like devices. The midsection is bordered by rows of beading and the broad triangular shaped blade is designed with subtle curves. The beauty of this server is further enhanced by wonderful hammering.

This rare pie server is marked with the Jensen mark used from 1915-30. It is also marked '38/ STERLING/ DENMARK'. It measures 7.9 inches long, weighs 2.65 troy ounces and is in very good condition.
