Georg Jensen Antique Sterling Silver #68 Vase, Copenhagen, Denmark, 1925-32

This is a stunning vase made with beautiful quality and organic style for which Jensen silver is so beloved.

The body curves gracefully upwards and flares out at the top. Covered in exquisite hammering, the highly reflective surface sparkles.

Contrasting with the simple elegance of the upper section, the lower half is an exceptional design of overlapping blossoming petals bordered with seed decoration. The design of the petals reflect their surroundings as individual small mirrors with a wonderful effect.

This lower section rises from a circular stepped base. This rare model was designed by Georg Jensen in 1914.

This lovely vase is fully marked underneath with the Jensen marks and sterling standards used from 1925-32. It measures 5.5 inches in diameter at the top by 8.5 inches high, weighs 17.95 troy ounces and is in excellent antique condition.
