William Gale and Son 'Mayflower' Pattern Antique Coin Silver Crumber, NYC, c. 1853

This lovely crumber has an attached handle with a beaded edge and simple foliate decoration on both the front and back. The long blade with shaped back edge exhibits stunning engraving of swirling foliage with flowers.

It is marked 'GS & Co/ 1853' and by the Boston retailer 'HENRY B. STANWOOD.' It measures 12.75 inches long, weighs 4.75 troy ounces and is in very good condition and has had a monogram erased on the front
