Faber and Son Antique Coin Silver Scoop, Philadelphia, PA, c. 1865

This beautiful, large scoop is an exceptional serving piece. The handle has a stunning hand-engraved foliate design with a band engraved 'HJE.' The shaped blade is lightly gilt and shimmers on its matte finish. A 3-dimensional leaf is engraved above a wonderful aesthetic foliage scene.

This rare server is marked 'FABER & SONS' and 'COIN.' It measures 10.5 inches long, weighs 2.95 troy ounces and is in excellent antique condition.
