Durgin/ Gorham Sterling Peacock Muffineer, c. 1928


This outstanding sterling muffineer dates to 1928, each side is wonderfully decorated with the design of a peacock against a background of his open tail. The pierced top, with a script 'B' monogram, depicts a trellis with leaves and flowers topped with a peacock finial.

This piece is marked with a combined Durgin/Gorham mark and was retailed by Gorham. This sterling muffineer is in great condition, measures 7 inches high and weighs an exceptionally heavy 14 troy ounces.
