Dominick & Haff Antique Sterling Silver Aesthetic Movement Napkin Ring, NYC, 1882

This large and heavy napkin ring is executed in a wonderful Japanese inspired aesthetic movement design. The overall surface is treated with lovely irregular hammer marks.

Opposite from each other are chased foliage designs. One is of a vine and the other an exotic flower. Between the two elements is a beautiful bee.

The interior is inscribed 'J.S.L. Jr from F.C.S. DEC 25' 82'. Obviously, this was a lovely Christmas gift.

The interior also bears the Dominick & Haff trademark along with 'STERLING/ 164'. It measures just over 2 inches round by 2 inches high, weighs 2.70 troy ounces and is in excellent condition.
