Dominick & Haff Aesthetic Movement Sterling 'Strawberry' Black Coffee Pot, NYC, NY, 1884

Naturalistic representations of strawberry vines and berries encompass the body and parts of the handle and spout. It is a magnificent display of natural design, with detailed leaves and strawberries flowing in all directions against a textured background. The removable cover with a spherical leaf-designed finial is decorated on its dome with a classical motif also used on the spreading foot base.

This rare coffee is marked underneath with Dominick & Haff's trademark, which includes the '1884' date and is also marked 'STERLING/ 256.' It measures 8 inches tall, weighs 13.25 troy ounces, and is in excellent antique condition.
