Davis & Galt Antique Sterling Silver Pea Spoon, Philadelphia, c. 1890’s
Sometimes referred to as ‘Paisley’, this lovely handle is designed with exotic swirling and foliate patterns. The back of the handle is plain and engraved ‘DAW’ at the top.
This rare pea spoon is marked with Davis & Galt’s trademark, ‘STERLING’ and by the Boston retailer ‘BIGELOW, KENNARD & CO. It measures 9.25 inches long, weighs 2.60 troy ounces and is in very good antique condition with light even wear to the original gilding.
