Cohr 'Olympia' Mid-Century Modern Sterling Serving Pieces, Copenhagen, Denmark, c. 1950's
This is a great and very useful set of sterling servers in the elegant and modern 'Olympia' pattern. The servers include a 2-piece salad set, a cold meat fork, a 3-tine serving fork, a large and small serving spoon - each with oval-shaped bowls and a pie or pastry server. The shapes are lovely and the quality is very high. The handles are designed with a raised interior giving the handles a unique edge. The tops of the handles curve upwards and the shoulders have designed collars on the fronts. This is a beautiful mid-century modern design.
The pieces are marked on the reverse ''STERLING COHR DENMARK". The shortest item, the pie server, measures just shy of 6.25 inches long while the large serving spoon is 9.75 inches long. The total weight is 14.40 troy ounces. The set has never been monogrammed and is in excellent antique condition.
