This wonderful label has a cast, flat surface and is executed as a stunning grape leaf growing from a grape vine. Attached to the grape vine is a likely original circular link chain. Pierced across the front is 'CLARET', the English term for Bordeaux wines.

Charles Rawlings, working alone and later in partnership with William Summers, is known for creating extremely fine small work pieces including wine labels such as this.

This stunning antique decanter label is fully hallmarked on the front. It measures 3.25 inches wide by 2.25 inches tall, weighs .90 troy ounces and is in excellent condition.
