This is a lovely pair of early English silver plate wine coasters have lovely bodies with undulating sides which flare outwards. Applied around the edge are wonderful die-rolled bands of flowing leaves executed in deep relief. The turned wood mahogany inserts have replaced felt on the underside.
These lovely coasters are unmarked as is most antique Sheffield plate. They measures 6.75 inches wide by just under 2 inches high. They are in good/ very good condition with resilvered bodies and some (expected) wear to the refinished wooden bases.
