American Antique Sterling Silver Aesthetic Movement Pineapple Serving Spoon, c. 1890

Based on its theme, this exceptional, multi-purpose serving spoon could initially have been used for serving fruit. A slightly curving handle resembles a pineapple stalk from which a detailed pineapple hangs. A series of twisted leaves also hang along the handle's length. The stunning bowl has a beautifully gilt matte finish and fluting along its front edge.

This magnificent, antique serving spoon is only marked 'STERLING. It measures 8.5 inches long, weighs 3 troy ounces, has never been monogrammed and is in excellent condition.
