Durgin Antique Sterling Silver Luncheon Forks - 11, Concord, NH, c. 1880

Patented on February 17, 1880, this elegant Indo-Persian design features an elaborate display of scrolling foliage on the front of the handle surrounding a heart-shaped reserve at the top engraved with the initial 'R.'

These wonderful forks are marked 'STERLING' and by the retailer 'A.S. MARSHALL.' As you can see from the picture below, they were patented in 1880 by William B. Durgin. These forks measure just over 7 inches long, weigh a combined 20.85 troy ounces, and are in excellent antique condition.
